Scentsy

So I have this AMAZING aroma deal, it's called a Scentsy. I bought it back in the summer along with 6 different fragrances. It melts the wax blocks into liquid and can sit on for days without getting too hot to burn anyone's skin. The smells linger throughout the entire house and it puts me in a great mood!! Aaron had a few mishaps with my scentsy, which turned into some pretty big disagreements with the scentsy.... afterwards seems rather comical. Then after one big blow up about Aaron spilling the scentsy I planned to move it so he wouldn't spill it anymore and in turn we wouldn't fight either. As I picked it up to move it I DROPPED it...it shattered everywhere.....I ALMOST CRIED! I was so bummed! So I called up my Scentsy girl, Miranda, and she had an extra one, so she was going to bring it to the next staff meeting. Well we didn't have a staff meeting and so we planned for her to bring it her prenatal class and I would meet her at the hospital to pick it up.....a few minutes before she left for the class I got a text...Miranda had dropped the scentsy and it shattered everywhere!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? She said she would order one right away...kind of weird....
So that was over a month ago and finally yesterday I got a text to say that it was in and she left it in my locker at the hospital. Aaron was coaching a football game, Kevin took Ev to watch the game so me and Capri were left to have some good mommy daughter time. I packed her up and we went to Walmart and then to the hospital to get my SCENTSY!!! I ran in and got it, said hi to a few people, headed back to the car, strapped Carpi in and headed home thinking this whole time about how good the house was going to smell with the new pumpkin spice I got this summer...specifically for a fall day like yesterday was. I got home, grabbed the carseat with Capri strapped in and went to grab the scentsy....IT WASN'T IN THE CAR....where was it??? OH MAN!!! I just remembered I had put it on top of the car while I was strapping Capri in....and I forgot about it....I hurried and strapped Capri in again....and sped off to town back to the hospital to find my scentsy. I HAD TO FIND IT!!! As I got closer to the hospital I drove slower looking at both sides of the road making sure I didn't miss it laying on side of the road. But as I pulled into the hospital...I didn't see it anywhere!! So I called the hospital operator to ask if anyone had turned in a box....no one had. I was so desperate I wasn't stopping until I found it. I drove around the parking lot thinking that it really flew off hard and far...and finally I decided I would just have to order ANOTHER ONE! SO BUMMED and wanting to cry I pulled out of the hospital, and AH HA!!! There was my scentsy box sitting in the middle of the road...what I drove past it...crazy!! BUT I FOUND IT!!! I drove home delighted and SO EXCITED for pumpkin spice! Capri was asleep by this time so I let her sleep. I opened up the box, unwrapped the scentsy found a NEW spot for it where Aaron won't spill in and put in the pumpkin spice. And all evening and night I would look at it as I walked by....I HAVE MY SCENTSY! and my house smells WONDERFUL!!!! :)

Sweet kodak moments!

Already September!

Night out in Aspen
September has been a wonderful and very BUSY month! We were able to go and see Rachelle and Brian for the first time in Aspen. It was a great weekend with everyone! The kids did well but Sunday was a extremely fussy day for both of them. Everett is really throwing fits and needs a lot of redirection. Mommy and Daddy are learning how to parent. It is the best and hardest thing I've ever done. Each day gets better. But for the most part they did well.

Capri bonding with Great Grandma Jo

Last weekend Sept 11-13 we had Great Grandma Jo, Great Grandpa George, Poppy Kevin, Grammy Marquine, Mandi and Walt all babysit the kiddos and Aaron and I took Necole and Jarrod to Leadership Camp for YL at Crooked Creek. It was a weekend full of JESUS, food, and sleep for me. AMAZING! I needed it all SO much! The Holy Spirit was present and ROCKED the whole place. It was so refreshing!

The cousins enjoying breakfast!
Since we've gotten home it's been a little rough. Ev has been sick all week and then mommy and now I think Capri is getting it. :( Aaron did take Capri for the night shift one night so I could sleep more than 4 hours at one time. But I think I used up my ticket. He isn't about to do it again....I suppose he likes his sleep.
I am excited for life!! It's been a year a ups and many downs...but for now we are on an up!! I will enjoy this moment as long as I can! :)

GOLDEN BIRTHDAY! 27!

celebrating our birthday
on a different day :(
A golden birthday! Do you know what that means?? Your turn the age that your birthday day is on! So this year was our golden birthday! We are 27!! I feel like our birthdays are bittersweet now. Not because I am getting older but because Von and I don't get to share the WHOLE day together anymore. We are at TOTALLY different seasons of life and this year we didn't even get to hang out on our actual birthday. In my heart it really bothers me. I even cried on my birthday. :*(
being silly!

Well I've had this big idea for over a year now to make Von a quilt of all of her old t-shirts. My mom went in on it with me and actually made it so I wouldn't have to pay someone to make it. She did a FABULOUS job!! It was the perfect gift that I wanted to give Von. Someday I will have my mom make me one too, but I thouroughly enjoyed giving something like that to Von. It just reminds me of all of the paths, life events, competitions, travels, and journey's of life we have truly shared!! It's just awesome!!! I LOVE YOU VON!

THE QUILT!!!!

Summer happenings!

Proud cowboy
So I said 3 months ago that I really wanted to start blogging more. And....I haven't stuck to my word, but I really do because I want to capture every moment in our lives!! Facebook has been that for me, but I don't think that I can really "save" each update or post....so again...I want to start blogging more.
I think it would be go to catch up on the last three month happenings.
July-I worked night shifts so honestly it's a big blur. Aaron was a wonderful husband and played with the kiddos a lot while I slept. We were able to go camping-which was fabulous! the kiddos did great!!! And we spent some time at the Greeley Stampede. :)

Our first family camping trip!
Loving the camping scene!
Everett, Capri, Kaitlynn, and Ellie
all in matching outfits from Grandma Debbie :)
August-We had a great time of course at the Akron Fair. It was great to hang out with lots of family!!!
Ready for Steamboat!

Then my immediate family took a trip to Steamboat! We went up with no Agenda. For me that was wonderful but I think my mom struggled with it a little bit. We honestly just hung out, swam in the pool, played putt putt golf, ran through a maze, and shopped. It was a beautiful place and Aaron's Uncle Frank and Aunt Sabrina let us use.

Ev jumping off of the side! NO FEAR!

Putt putt golf!! So fun! Daddy and Capri won!
My sweet little girl!

When we returned from our4 day trip to Steamboat we spent a day in Estes park with Aaron's parents hiking! It was GREAT! The kiddos loved it!
Our first family hike!

Poppy and Grammy
Does the sign mean anything?? :)

Ev loves his Grammy and Poppy!

sweet little toes!

We started a BIG PROJECT or I should say Aaron started a BIG project to get another step closer to our dream of having a ranch! He have begun building a lean to, shed, and finishing the fence so we can get horses at our place!

Capri watching daddy, Clayton, and Grandpa Roy build.

The Lean to.....

Our home in Sterling!

Von came out and visited us August 14-16. She took some amazing family pictures of us!

August 17th I started a new job at Northeastern Junior College teaching in the nursing program! I LOVE IT! The Lord has truly blessed us me with a positive change. I know this is His will and it's a beautiful thing! I feel happier and motivated! It's great! I haven't felt that since we moved to Sterling. I work with wonderful ladies that encourage me and help me everyday. The one challenging thing for me has been being away from Everett and Capri every single day. Some days I don't struggle but a day like today when I don't feel good and neither do the little ones I feel so guilty for leaving. I would rather just snuggle up with them and cuddle all day long! They have started going to daycare as well. I haven't made up my mind yet if I like the one we have chose yet or not, but I think a lot of that is just the mommy guilt. They both seem to have benefits from going, so we'll continue on. :)

It's official! :)
